FLORICOT - FLORICOT is used as hormone replacement therapy for conditions such as Addison's disease, in which the body does not produce enough natural steroid hormones. These hormones are important in maintaining the balance of certain minerals and water in your body. FLORICOT may also be used in some other medical conditions as decided by your doctor.

FLORICOT belongs to a group of medicines called steroids.

Fludrocortisone, a mineralocorticoid is prescribed for the treatment of salt-losing adrenogenital syndrome and Addisons disease. Fludrocortisone lowers urinary elimination of fluids and sodium from the levels.

Indications: Acute adrenal insufficiency.

Chronic adrenal insufficiency (addisons disease).

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (adrenogenital syndrome).
